Terms and Conditions
All pledges made to KCHO/KFPR are on a donation basis and cannot be refunded. No goods or services (other than a premium) will be provided as a condition of pledging.
- Acquisition of Information: We do not acquire any more information about members than is required by law or is otherwise necessary to provide a high level of service efficiently and securely.
- Our Employees and Privacy: We train all of our employees about the importance of privacy. We give access to information about members and their donations only to those employees who require it to perform their jobs.
- Security Measures: We make access to privacy-sensitive information subject to rigorous procedural and technological controls, consistent with legal requirements and the demands of customer service.
- Disclosure to Third Parties: We will provide individually-identifiable information about consumers to third parties only if we are compelled to do so by order of a duly-empowered governmental authority, or we have the express permission of the member. However, all pledges are tax deductible within the definition of the law (minus the actual value of the premium), and because of this, member information will be provided to the Development Office at CSU, Chico, so that they may properly issue a tax deduction form to the member.
If you are using a security-enabled browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.1 or greater, or Netscape Navigator version 2.0 or greater), the information you send us regarding your donation is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to read even if it is wrongly intercepted. Our site utilizes industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and critically sensitive information like your credit card number. If you are still uncomfortable with submitting your personal information via the Internet for any reason, please feel free to contact us by phone at (530) 898-5896 to complete your donation.
