A register of transmission engineering

Why a radio signal goes where it goes: the ionosphere, the mast, and the rules that follow from both.

A publication about transmission engineering. Not a broadcast station — no schedules, no listings, no coverage claims.

Contact and corrections

Corrections, additions and pointers to better sources are all welcome. So is a note that an entry is unclear — that is a defect too.

What to include

  1. The entry number and title, as printed in the register.
  2. The sentence as it stands, quoted.
  3. What it should say, and the document or measurement that carries it.

Where a claim differs by jurisdiction, tell us which country's rule you are quoting; a great many disagreements about medium wave turn out to be two regulators being correct at once.

Editorial independence

The houses named in the colophon support the register and have no say in what it says. If you think an entry reads as though somebody paid for it, that is worth writing about.
